Software Tutorials

We have created and collected tutorials for your basic software needs! Please email us or stop by our walk-in hours if you can't find something. 
 
Most of the following softwares are available on ALL BARNARD CAMPUS COMPUTERS  (with the exception of Matlab and ATLAS.ti, which are only available in the ERL and the Digital Training Lab - first floor Barnard Library - ).

Additional tutorials from the web:

SAS: SAS is a statistical data analysis software package. UCLA's Institute for Digital Research & Education (IDRE) offers tutorials with sample analyses and screenshots.

R: R is a free, open-source statistical data analysis software package (here).  UCLA's IDRE website offers tutorials complete with sample analyses and screenshots.

Mathematica: Mathematica is a software package that does computational and mathematical analysis.  Wolfram (Mathematica's publisher) maintains a Learning Center website with helpful video tutorials and other support.

NVIVO: NVIVO is a software package for qualitative data analysis and management.  NVIVO's support website offers basic technical support, documentation and video tutorials.

ATLAS.ti: ATLAS.ti is a software package for qualitative data analysis and management.  ATLAS.ti's support website offers video tutorials.

Rice Virtual Lab in Statistics is also a good refresher on basic statistics principles. It reviews concepts and has appelets for each topic.
